One of my favorite sites related to the topics of my career
is GloVis (USGS Global Visualization Viewer). This is a tool that I got to know
last year thanks to a geomatics course. The tool makes available a lot of
georeferenced information. The information it offers includes digital elevation
models, spectral signatures of objects, etc. In addition, the available
information is of very high quality, the data has been taken by the most
prestigious research projects in the world, and also the satellites used have a
fantastic precision.
All this information can be used in official research
projects. In addition there is information of previous dates! All this data
collection has been headed by NASA.
It is difficult to find contras to such a good and free
service, but I could say that perhaps the interface of the page is not so
friendly.
This year I downloaded a lot of data from this page, to do
different research tasks. To use it, you only need a free account.
Thank you for reading!
